For me, true wellness is about the soul. It’s about the radical freedom to be unapologetically myself.
I’ve found that when I allow myself that freedom, not only do I feel healthier—I feel more creative, more inspired, and more alive. I don’t just survive. I thrive. I imagine. I lead.
Beyond Habits: My Soul of Wellness
Wellness, I’ve come to realize, isn’t just about what I do. It’s about who I am when no one’s watching.
It’s the alignment between my values, my voice, and my vision—the moments when what I believe, what I say, and how I live all line up. When that happens, I feel grounded, whole, and free.
But when I stray from that alignment? I can look like I’m doing well on the outside—productive, polished, high-functioning—while my soul feels starved.
When I am in alignment, though, everything flows differently. Energy rises, clarity sharpens, and authenticity becomes my greatest strength.
I’ve discovered that a free soul is a well soul.
Wellness as Liberation
This month reminds me that wellness isn’t just “self-care.” It’s soul-care. It’s liberation.
I see it when I rest without guilt—knowing that stepping back is sometimes the most powerful move forward. I see it when I allow myself to dream without limits, when I dare to speak up without fear, and when I live without apology.
I think of leaders like Serena Williams choosing rest, Simone Biles choosing mental health, Oprah choosing authenticity, and Beyoncé choosing unapologetic joy. Their examples remind me that wellness is bigger than routines. It’s about claiming the freedom to live fully and authentically.
Those choices ripple outward. They don’t just heal the self—they shift culture. They make space for others to live free, too.
Why Soul Wellness Fuels My Work
I’ve seen firsthand that wellness and success are inseparable. The times when I’m most creative, resilient, and inspiring to others are the times when I’m living in alignment with myself.
- Freedom sparks my creativity—because I’m not wasting energy pretending.
- Freedom fuels my resilience—because authenticity builds courage.
- Freedom inspires those around me—because people connect most deeply with what’s real.
- Freedom sustains my success—because wellness keeps me from burning out.
Wellness isn’t a luxury. It’s the engine that drives my best ideas, my boldest risks, and my most meaningful impact.
My Work as Soul Work
At Elation Communications, I’ve made authenticity the heart of everything I do. I’ve learned that the most powerful communication isn’t just about being the loudest—it’s about being the most real.
My work is about helping others claim their voice, tell their story, and connect with purpose. For me, that’s not just strategy—it’s soul work. Because when communication comes from an authentic place, it doesn’t just inform. It transforms.
Choosing to Be Unapologetically Me
This National Wellness Month, I’m choosing to go deeper than surface-level wellness. I’m choosing to honor wellness as soul freedom—the freedom to rest, to dream, to speak, to live authentically.
- Wellness, for me, is soul-care.
- Wellness, for me, is liberation.
- And when my soul is free, creativity soars, innovation ignites, and success naturally follows.
Because the greatest act of wellness I can commit to is this: to be fearlessly, unapologetically myself.
